Tell me more

For many people it is their first time getting professional portraits taken, so below is a brief explanation of how it works and what you can expect from Lighthouse Studios.

We first opened our portrait studio in April 2003, originally in Bridge of Allan, then we moved to larger premises in 2006 in Causewayhead in Stirling (just along from Corrieri's).

If you are looking for natural, relaxed, fun photography, then this is the place for you.

Seppi  has won numerous awards over the years, including Scottish Family Photographer of the Year. Also he is Chairman of the Master Photographers' Association, Scottish Region. But that's enough of the official formal facts, have a look through Seppi's work in our portfolios, after all a picture tells a thousand words, and we hope that you will appreciate the fantastic photos that Seppi captures time and time again.

So how does it all work?

The session – This is where it all begins. We take time to understand what you are looking for from your photographs. Whether it's reluctant teenagers, or toddlers going through the terrible twos, Seppi (as a dad of three himself)  is very kind and patient with children, and takes time to ensure that they are relaxed, therefore getting great results.  The feedback we get time and time again is that Seppi is great with people - which is why the photographs turn out so natural.

What to wear – the background is white (usually, though we have other backgrounds too). To contrast against this, we recommend bright colours, which stand out against the background, and to create a vibrant photo. Jeans look good against the background, and match the relaxed nature of the photos. However don't worry if you don't like to wear jeans - we just recommend that you wear something that you are comfortable in. We ask people to take shoes off in the studio – so try to avoid holey socks!!! For inspiration we always suggest clicking on our client galleries - there you can see what other people have worn to help you think of what would work for your photographs.

Choosing your photographs - A few days after your photo session you come back to view your pictures and select your favourites. There will be a wide selection of photos to choose from, and at the viewing you decide what size of pictures you would prefer, where you are going to put them, etc. We have a wide range of frames or, for a more contemporary look, we can print your picture on to canvas.

How long does it take? For a typical order, from selecting your pictures at your viewing, it takes three weeks until they are ready for collection.

Fun – All our customers have commented on the fun that they have had coming to lighthouse studios – we do our best to ensure a relaxed, enjoyable time from start to finish.

We hope this has answered your questions - but please feel free to get in touch if you have any specific questions.
